Day 3: To your parents

heh, it was a dfficult one, expressing how much my parents loved me. but i thought about it for a really long time, and you know what, there are countless things to say about them, their heroic feats, their humor, their love. Its never ending, what you can actually say about them. because suddenly, you realise what an important role they are playing in your life. the role that requires great strength, courage , bravery, determination, and a role that deals with so many setbacks. You suddenly realise how important they are to you, and how you'll crumble if they left you.
You realise that beneath the solid outer exterior of their hearts lies a soft, caring inner self, always loving and always so tender. and always filled with love. always.
Dear mom and Dad,
I know that i've never been the daughter you've expected, and i've never really been the one that you could be proud of. im tempremental, not the smartass person you've kinda expected, not pretty enough, i complain too much, i'm unreasonable, and i whine. but, nonethless, i am really proud to be your daughter, for all the years of lodging and food, the diaper changing and the feeding, to the tutoring and money you've spent because of me.
What you've done for me is so great, so huge, something that is beyond words. The love you've shown is unexplainable, that it touches so deeply into my heart.
YOu'll never realise how grateful and thankful i am to have you as my parents. But sometimes, i complain and grumble about all that i've been missing out on, like riding a roller coaster, and going to amusement parks, and i fail to realise how much you actually care for me and support me in everything i do.
You let me have my own opinions. and regardless of what you think, you'll never go against my decision, instead, you'll always go for it and support me till the end.
You give me freedom, you give me your trust (although daddy can be a little over protective at times, but thats alright) You give me independence, and mould me to become who i am today. You make me feel good about myself on days i dont feel too good, you love me no matter how i look, and most importantly, you dont judge me for who i am. You just accept whatever comes along and the love you have for me unconditional, the purest love of all kinds.
You made me who i am today. You've helped me to accept failures as part of growing up, how life is always full of failures and without them, there will be no success. You are the reason that i've always been achieving such good results, the reason i've got distinctions for piano exams, and the reason for me being me.
You have no idea how much i appreciate you guys. and even though i dont say it aloud, but i know that you'll always be in my heart, just like the way i will always be in yours.
i know you dont know this, but everytime i'm alone, i[think of you, and all the great things that you've done for me, because at that moment, i'll smile and be happy, because i know that i'm being loved by people, even if its just a mere two. And i know that i wont feel alone, because you'll always be there for me, guiding me in every step i take.
and im lucky to be born to such a loving family. true, we may have our arguments and quarrels at times, but thats just a part and parcel of life, and it is inevitable, but i know that the bond between us does not become stranded because of the problems we've faced, neither will our relationship falter and tumble, but it'll remain strong, in fact, stronger than ever, because of the sruggles we've been through together as a family.
so i thank you, mom and dad, for the countless nagging and scoldings, the tutoring, the money, the free lodging, the free food, and i thank you dearly for the love you've shown to me throughout these past 14 years.
i remember how you'll always tell me " you're beautiful inside"
i love you
love,
your daughter
